Dr. Peter Rhee is a renowned surgeon and trauma specialist who has served as Chief of Trauma, Critical Care, and Emergency Surgery at the University of Arizona since 2013. He gained national attention in 2011 when he helped lead the medical team that treated Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords after she was shot in Tucson. Dr. Rhee has also provided medical care to wounded soldiers during multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to his medical expertise, he is a professor of surgery and has been recognized for his contributions to trauma research and education.
